My elderly white bulldog pees in his bed regularly with the result that one of his hind legs has turned an ugly yellow from urine. Is there a kind of shampoo that will get rid of the ugly stains? Thanks for your help!

try a pair of people underwear with a diaper inside. I cut the elastic off the leg openings of the disposable diaper and just used the absorbant part of the diaper. I slipped it inside the underwear and used very large (quilting) safety pins to hold the ends in place. Then I used stretch elastic from the pin on the undies stretched around her neck to keep them from sliding off her butt. I sew so I have a really good supply of elastic on hand, but if you have to buy something anyways I'd get the suspenders.

I tried Depends on him, but he is a rather weighty bulldog so that didn't quite work. For now I sponge him down every day, but I hate to see the permanent stain on his otherwise beautiful white coat.

what about getting doggy diapers for him for at night? Someone posted a picture of using suspenders tp hold up the pants for females in heat, would work just as well for a diaper for a male.

baking soda....sprinkle it on rub it in and brush it out...it also helps with any odor from the urine...and being a dry powder he does not have to get wet all the time.... if its stained really bad use some hydrogen peroxide for a few days this will help lighten the stain.....
you can try any of the whitening shampoos on the market
and in time it should disappear.
I order most of my stuff from petedge.com, jbpets.com or revival.com
Also peroxide mixed with baking soda into a paste works well.

how about a belly band?
you can buy one or make your own. Line it with a diaper or large feminine pad. Worked well on my Junior when his prolapse was bleeding.

I don't rescue animals because I want to feel better about myself, or morally superior to anyone. The best part of my life with animals is the humility they teach and the humanity the foster.

if the diapers just don't seem to fit correctly
