I just wanted to extend few words of gratitude to all of you for very kind support in very trying times many of us recently go through. I am sure many of us feel exactly the same way as I do, they are just way too busy at this moment to even post on BDW. Ive been there
I have been struggling getting my babies well (Lily is diagnosed with heart condition and Chester is struggling with skin issues and possible disc/spinal problems).
Through all of this and maybe because of all of this and my busy work, trying to give as much time as I can to my babies and to also deal with my personal health issues recently, I have not been a frequent poster. I know however that the support here is something that cannot be matched anywhere else. I cherish ALL your advice, prayers, thoughts they are ALL very important and tremendously helpful in difficult times. For all your support-Thank You from the bottom of my heart.
I also especially wanted to thank Rhiann from Visalia, California. Rhiann rescues bulldogs and she is the one from whom I took my Chester.
I just wanted to let you know that I am so impressed by her ability to give her time and attention to anyone who needs help. Today Rhiann called me and spent extended amount of time on the phone discussing my babies medical issues I am dealing with and providing me with tremendously helpful information I can work with right now. Rhiann, if you are reading this, I do not think I can thank you enough for hooking me up with Chester whom I love dearly, and for all the help and advice you provide me with. You are just such wonderful lady and beautiful person.
Again, thank you all for all your support.
Kiss and hug your babies, they are so precious and fragile.
Beernata, I have been reading
your posts and have not had time to respond. I can totally feel for all you are going through. I have been there. It is terrible. The responders on this board are FABULOUS! and a life line when you are in the Bulldog lovin' business!!!

Rhiann has been tremendous and deserves so much credit. It is so nice for you to credit her for all she does.
I knew I was forever in love when I saw my very first Bulldog. You are so right, hug them & kiss them up every chance you get.
My very biggest prayers and love are out there for your darling Chester, I know how much you adore him!

yes, we all do..
Let them live long happy healthy lives and then pass in their sleep in bed cuddled up right next to me, so I know they didn't suffer one second. That's my wish!

I don't rescue animals because I want to feel better about myself, or morally superior to anyone. The best part of my life with animals is the humility they teach and the humanity the foster.

wow that is so very nice
she is always willing to share advice with anybody who needs it, she is a big part of what makes this board so special

He is such a sweet love bug. I just want my babies to be well.

Haven't spoken to her much lately, but she always returns my calls. Hope you, Chester, and Lily are feeling better, Bernata.

I agree Bernata..and i've had the pleasure of meeting her too...
she's a generous, kind lady!! I had no idea that's who you got Chester from
LOL, Michelle, I feel just like you these days...another trip to
by now we are up to $3000 mark and counting.
I do not walk out from the vet without $350 bill.
Chester is better but Lily has terribly inflated stomach, seems she may either need pill adjustment or her poor heart is not doing well at all, I am worrying terribly. We are seeing vet this evening.
Agree, Rhiann has always been willing to give her
time and compassion to everyone who needs it...a truly generous person from the inside out!!
Hope Chester and Lily both are doing better each day.
I totally agree......
support on this board is huge..
many talented people that are more then willing to help someone out..
lots of them that is what makes this board special..
glad you got some great help with Chester.
I have been thinking about you and wondering how
Chester is doing! And lily too of course. Getting any more sleep?
She is awesome, right?
Rhiann is the best! She has helped me so many times I cannot count!

You are so correct, BDW is just such a wonderful place full of wonderful people!
Hope Rhiann help with your babies! And I hope you are recovering as well!
Did your vet put Lily on some diuretics?
My old gal (almost 13) is on a mild dose of diuretics for slow circulation...not just her age, but her general lack of mobility related to her arthritis...when I forget to give her the daily half-pill she begins to sound like a percolator and her belly shows some bulge too...just one day without!!
