I want to share this with some of the best friends i have ever made on the internet.
I JUST NOW got an email from hubby...he is in Kuweit waiting on a ticket to come home......OHMYGOD!!!
Totally unexpected, too...
(man, i gotta start cleaning, and yardwork...and working out...and and and....lol)
actually everything is looking good...hehe.
This is a big suprise for me....they are letting him come home because his mom has cancer....
Only bad thing is, its "officially" only for 2 weeks, but "might" turn into staying here for good....well until they have to go back to Afghanistan. (thats were they were before they went to Iraq, one thing after another....)
OMYGOSH...lol.
Those news came right at the right time, i have had a very hard time last weekend and esp. yesterday with some emergencys around the house (damm pool, too..), seemed like everything had to go wrong, and yesterday was just the straw that breaks Lu's back...i can somewhat laugh at it now...but it wasn't funny then.
(sandfilter on the huge pool broke, spewing water and sand all over everything at high pressure...sat under the deck trying to screw the popped out thingie back in...in vain of course. Couldn't let go because so much sand and water kept flying out of there....would have buried and ruined the pump next to it....couldn't sleep under the deck holding the damm thing in either..sigh.
And that after i worked all sunday getting that darn pool open and the darn cover off that weighed a ton...and fixing a hole that took me 2 hours to find (during that time i burned to a crisp in the sun, despite sunlotion, guess they weren't kidding when they said not to be in sun...during the time i'm on this medication)
So i ripped my hand open trying to screw that thingie in against the waterpressure (that can't be turned off unless the pool drains below the intake...ugh).
I finally got it in to where it "only " drained a little... at that point i'm covered in sand and blood dripping off my hand, and all the poolpeople I called are busy for the next 2 weeks..finally one guy had pity on me...he came this morning and fixed it...needed a whole new part.
Sigh....ANYWAY the good news came at a time when i just about lost it finally....lol.
Just had to share my good news with some of my favorite people on the net...

I cannot express to you how very happy I am for you that your hubby is coming home!! I am sorry for the circumstances that are bringing him home. Please know that his Mom will be in my prayers.
I also pray for a safe trip home for him, and much happiness for you when he arrives. And no more disasters between now and then. (smile)

I am so happy for you. Hope your cut was not too bad, but I imagine that you are so high up on cloud 9 that you don't even feel it. LOL I hope that hubbys stay will turn into longer than just 2 weeks. Congrats again hugs too.

its never for very long, spec. with all the things going on in the world...but hopefully its going to be more then 2 weeks...i'm debating whether to tell my daughter now..or to wait. I'm not sure when he will arrive...they are waiting on tickets, could be a few days...

yeah, i wished the pool had disappeared too, yesterday...LOL.
Its strange...all of the sudden time is slowing down even more..i should be doing all kinds of things, instead i'm sitting here,,,numb and staring at the wall (well , computer monitor...lol).
It was just totally unexpected. I'm still in shock..lol.

yes, it is sad about his mom. But right now she is in remission once again. (although she had surgery 4 weeks ago and they told her she had a 50% chance of not making through it..they didn't let him come home then...)
Thing i don't understand is....she has lungcancer..has been in remission twice, which is like a gift of god...yet she is still smoking....sigh.
