Hi,
Meds won't help much. The lashes need to be removed for the irritation and/or corneal ulcer to heal.
Ask the vet if he'll be lasering the area after he plucks out the lashes. Lasering the area will MAY stop them from coming back. There are no guarantees. The lashes could grow back & the procedure will have to be done again.

My vet said he has Distichrasis (extra eyelashes poking in his eye). He sees the opthalmologist tomorrow morning and expect he will do surgery tomorrow. I hope so as much as I'm scared of surgery, because he's so miserable. Meds don't seem to be helping at all, but it's only been one day.
