Archived General Bulldog Chat

we just came back from hospital where we had to leave Chester. His blood count is seriously low and he is practically comatose. He has head shakes from weakness or pain and doctor decided he needs IV and blood transfusion. So he had to stay. I am heart broken, I worry about my boy, he is a rescue we adopted and I do not want him to think we abandoned him. I am also terrified we are going to lose him.
I will go visit him but I miss him terribly, home is not the same, even Lily is curious why he did not come back with us.
On a good note, Lily's protein level is back to normal, her fluids seemed to drain a lot, she is regular drinking and peeing machine, but seem to be almost back to her regular self. I will take it, even if for few days, weeks, whatever time I am given with her. She is a fighter and a strong girl, I hope we have more time with her.

Bernata, as hard as it was to leave him....the vet can do things for him that can't be done at home. Sometimes we have to let skilled hands take over. I hope he rallies and comes home soon.
