If this is true, it's amazing...going to ask holistic vet about

this stuff. This dog was on supplement called Cetyl Myristoleate.

The family of the man who developed it sells it....

I found their web site through a Google search on the product name.

Apparently a lot of companies are selling this supplement now. The family site says that the competing formulas vary....they claim to sell the true version.

Does it work for dysplasia?

yes I do the Adequan injections once a week and give "cosequin"

daily, which is just a different form of glucosomine (?)which I don't think is too un-healthy, I am just trying to not use the anti-inflamatory meds etc since she is so young I assume the older she gets I will have no choice.

Hope everyone has a great day

I posted this all over and can't find anyone who knows about it.

I will be

really interested to hear your vet's opinion. What if it could help with allergies/immune system stuff like skin in addition to joints??!!!

Kathy Chester Newman and Jessa's picture

Michele, Chester is on Meloxicam which is an antiinflammatory...

he has hemivertabrae in his neck and back. He's doing very well on it, no side effects, we just take him every 6 months for a liver blood test.
