was it Deb from NC? We are going in May. Staying in Rodanthe. Any suggestions for takeout or outdoor dining you saw that allowed dogs? We don't leave Hooch in the RV alone. Any other tips? Thanks!

since we got him 2 years ago...and before him Winnie came with us. Hooch's packing list is longer than ours i think! lol We also take our kitty, Tigger. Love that photo!

John and I are driving down to Florida next weekend for a couple weeks with our bulldog Josie. We usually stop in Nags Head on the way home and rent a house on the water. This time we'll only be a few days there so are staying in the Clarion Inn, which is supposed to be dog friendly. We'll see.... Not sure if there are any places to take a dog along to eat.
Before we go to the OB, we are staying in Savannah and Charleston. I did find this one place that seems dog friendly called Red's.

How fun that you get to take Hooch with you on your trip!
We stay in Corolla (Pine Island) when we go to the OBX, although we have stayed in the Nags Head area without the bullies. Hmmm, I'm not too familiar with eateries that allow dogs, being that we don't eat out (except for one evening) when we're there.
Tips...don't let Hooch drink ocean water; they throw up if they get too much. I always have a backpack with water and poo bags if I take them for a walk on the beach. Also, I take their food bowls, food, and their special blankets, so the smells of home are familiar to them. I also buy bottled water (or those 5 gallon jugs) so the change in water doesn't upset their tummies. Basically, I try to keep their routine as similar as possible to the one we follow at home.
Hope you have a great time with your boy...it's a great place to vacation!
BTW...take along some emergency supplies like Benadryl, cortizone ointment, etc. in case of reactions from bug bites or whatever.
that looks like fun!
