I once read that Purina was one of the few stocks that did well

and it did well because farmers had to buy feed for their animals, no matter what, and pet owners similarly would buy dog food and cat food no matter what. I don't know if that article was accurate or not, but it does make for a nice story.

So Zapper is a super smart investor.

I actually used a similar investing strategy with one stock. I bot some TARO, which did very well while I had it. The company sells products for which the need will always be there. But i will be discreet and not say what that need is.
