I know it's early but...

I'm so excited it's my night off and i was trying a new command on Dozer, i got him to sit and stay and i was able to leave the room and he stayed and didn't follow me after only 3 tries. Yay!!! My baby is the smartest bullie in the world... (at least i think so,lol).

I totally agree...

when teaching a deaf dog all you use is hand signs..
Gus is great with them...
Bella and the other hearing dogs do great with them too
very easy for a them to catch on too.
they all know their verbal commands but the hand signs now as well

goodluck with your bulldog
sounds like he is catching on fast
and btw..bulldogs are very very smart..

PS: About hand signals..

They seem to be easier to teach than verbal commands. I was able to get him to stay easier with a hand up in a stop position and come here from a sit was way easier with a hand signal. Also i got him to do down into a laying position with me standing and just making a down motion with my hand from my chest to my belly button. Sorry to toot my horn i'm just so proud of my baby...
