i know this isn't going to be the most popular opinion...

but i think for Codys sake it would be best if Ce keeps him till he is stabilized (if that is possible) and then perhaps could go to his new home...
I think most of his issues could be taken care off by his new owner...Even is the tumor has to be removed, aftercare after surgery is something most of us are competent of. Eyedrops, antibiotics, baths and treatments for the skinproblems....all those are things that should be able to get done by a bully owner without a big deal.
The reason i think it would be best in Codys interest is that my heart breaks for him, thinking he will have to be replaced twice again...Each time he will bond, and each time he will be un-rooted. It will only take longer for him to trust that he will actually get to stay in one home.
Of course all this depends if this home can be found. But IF someone can be found, that has bully experience and room and TLC to give...and that wants Cody and knows of the baggage with him.....I'm all for it! The less traumatic experiences, the better.
If noone thinks they are up to it, and no new home can be found ...then of course going to a rescue would be the next best thing.
Just IMHO.

Re: Jane, are you saying YOU are willing to adopt Cody?

If that is what it takes to make Cody happy and well adjusted, then Yes, I will adopt him.

About Jane

I will leave it up to you guys, but I do want to say I have known Jane for many years and she is a wonderful lady with a big heart who would be a good chocie if you decide to do that. The choice is up to you of course, but so you know Jane is great with rescues and Bulldogs and has a special love for them

wow

that would be wonderful...
If you know for sure you want to take another one...
My point was only, that IF a permanent home could be found, that wants Cody and will give him the TLC he needs and can deal with the upkeep of treating him....then i think that would be best....
Less rehoming...
If such a home cannot be found, then rescue would certainly be next best...
thats just imho..
lu

Thats our Jane!!! nm

wow thats wonderful Jane...

I do know when Ce reads this she will know you are a wonderful Lady...

Jane, are you saying YOU are willing to adopt Cody?

What a wonderful option that would be for him!

Re: i know this isn't going to be the most popular opinion...

I will let CE decide what she wants to do. I can take Cody and keep him and not re home him if that is what you want. Or I can get him well and send him back to CE if she wants him, or whatever is needed. I am only here to help in whatever way I can.
Jane

I think there are several reasonable options...

Ce will have to decide what is going to work best for her. Jane is one super option and maybe Ce could visit and keep contact. He really needs someone with experience, and Ce probably can do it if she has to or wants to. I really am worried about his eyes. Jane is a great resource irregardless.
