I just had heart failure
Submitted by Anonymous on April 20, 2010 - 5:26pmI take Theo out in the pasture every afternoon and let him run, well today he ran alright, right up on a snake. Thank goodness it was only a king snake, but he wanted to stand there and poke at it. I am horrified of snakes but would you believe that I went up right next to it so I could drag Theo away. Dont know why but the snake never coiled up just sorta picked it's head up and stuck its tongue out. Yuk I still got chill bumps.

I don't do snakes
I have a hard time telling any kind of snake from another (well, I'm pretty good with rattlesnakes), but I don't like to run up on any of them. I've come across chicken snakes and rat snakes here and they still scare me, even though they're harmless. If it's bigger than a worm, it's a snake to me.

king snakes are passive snakes...
so unless attacked they most likely would rather just glance at you and slither away...but if your not a snake lover..I can see where it was a fright...glad both you and Theo are alright...c.e
