I hope Maybe some others will post "About Me" Here's mine
Submitted by jayanddeanna on April 21, 2010 - 12:35amI really enjoyed reading everyone posts so I thought I would bring it back to the top for anyone who missed out yesterday. A little bit about me, I'm 30 and live in Chestermere, Alberta. I got married in 2005 and a few months later Daisy came into our life.
From that moment on I was hooked. I bought her off the internet not knowing any better... a few months later we bought Winston (off the internet again). ![[linked image]](http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l77/jayanddeanna/Daisysnewbrother.jpg)
Raising Daisy was easy, but Winston not so much, so back to the internet I went and I found bulldogs world... I also had a pretty good reality check about buying dogs off the internet. I read all the rescue stories, I cried and prayed for all those poor souls so abused and damaged and all the wonderful people that took them in. I wanted to rescue bullies in Alberta, but it's not that bad up here so I got into all-breed rescue, rescuing dogs of First Nation Reserves... rescue has become my passion.
Last October I received a call about a bulldog in need of rescue so I went to check it out... and well, we now have 3 bulldogs. Kane is 6 years old and we love them all so much. ![[linked image]](http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l77/jayanddeanna/thekids.jpg)
In September, my husband and I split up. We spent a few months apart. He told me to take the dogs because he couldn't imagine them separated and that they needed their "mommy". I let him see the dogs whenever he wanted. We are now "dating" and although we are not living together, I hope that we can work it out and be a family again.

I have always imagined doing 'rescue'...me, in bed with 14 dogs! HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!! MY HUBBY HASN'T DIVORCED ME yet!

I didn't say anything beacuse Penny (Jay's Mom) posts here and I didn't feel it was fair to anyone to post stuff on the internet when we were going through rough times, but now that we are working things out it's OK.

yeah, my MIL (Penny, Lily, Rocky)
got their girl Lily through the bulldog rescue in Ontario.
We started a bulldog "thing" in our family after getting Daisy, now Jay's Sister and BIL have 3 bullies, and his mom has 2! Total of 8 bullies between us all. I'll only ever have a rescue from this day forward, but I love my babies with all my heart.

I posted late, so am reposting ABOUT US
I grew up with bulldogs but Maybull is David's first dog. I am a freelance journalist and am a real estate agent. David teaches Tai Chi and other martial arts which means that we are both self-employed. I have a MA in journalism and David has a degree in design from The College of Visual Arts. David is in his late 40s and I am in my late 50s. We have been married 14 years.
The bullies I had as a kid were Nipper and Torie and we had a cocker named Laddie and a rescued beagle named Lassie. My parents had another big bulldog named Mac and later, a couple of pugs, some mixed-breed terriers and other rescued dogs. We have a new rescue, a little while fuzzy mixed-breef toy trouble maker.
I grew up in Iowa and have lived in MO, northern VA and OR before coming to live in the Twin Cities. David was born and raised here.
Maybull is our big ol' lumpy love and is healthy even though she's 10-years old.
We like to cook and let Maybull lick the plates. We also like to travel both in the USA and foreign and exotic places. In the warmer weather, we have a big vegetable garden in half of our tiny backyard and we eat out of it all year we blanch and freeze all summer and then eat that all year. The other half of the yard belongs to dogs.
I have been coming to BDW for about 10 years. I was originally on the wonderfulworldofbulldogs message board as well until it closed down. This is the best web family ever.

my husband and I split up, divorced, dated and moved back in together. There is always hope I wish you luck!! That's a little bit about me. Here is a little bit more Gia and Hanna are my babies. Gia is a 5 year old english bulldog and Hanna is a 10 week old American Bulldog. We got Gia at a Petland and knew nothing about the breed. I found BDW about 4 years ago and this site is a blessing!!

I suspected you and Jay had split when you mentioned a while ago your "new roomate". I hope you guys can work it out too. You definitely have bulldogs in common - and that's a good thing!

I got a call from the lady that has the one here one time..but I could not see adding a bulldog rescue to my group as of yet..
an all dog rescue is a great idea...
