I have questions re aftercare after a spaying
Submitted by Anonymous on April 20, 2010 - 5:26pmWe are going to get Lily spayed soon. I need to know what is all involved with the aftercare. Since she is an outside dog, will she need to stay inside and for how long. What kind of care will the wound need. I am trying to arrange this so that I can spend as much time as possible with her.

Re spaying after care
When Daisy was spayed we didn't have to do anything to care for the incision. She is an inside dog though, so I didn't have to worry about her getting the incision dirty outside. We did crate her quite a bit for the first few days to make sure she didn't pop any stitches. But as for Daisy she acted like nothing ever happened to her!!
I am sure Lily will be fine!! Just give her lots of extra TLC and treats!!
