This is my little deaf girl. Her name is Dipper, and she is 8 years old. She is only 37 pounds, but the sweetest 37 pounds you will ever meet. Of course, I could be a little biased. (smile)

A little beauty!

Nice to meet her sweet little mug!

aww...she looks likes she's sweet...pretty eyes.

.

Jane even if you are biased I have to agree with you.

She looks like a little doll.

Gary,

Thank you for the lovely compliment about Dipper. Yes, she is a rescue. But she came from Chicago Animal Control, so I have no idea of her background. I was not aware that she was deaf when I got her. But she was so aloof, and did not respond to any commands. I was beside myself when one day someone dropped something in the kitchen and made a lot of loud noise. All of the other dogs reacted, while Dipper kept sitting in her chair watching what was going on in the house. I then realized she was deaf. She now knows hand signals, and obeys quite well.
But, she also knows that she has to look at you to get the signals, so if you show her something you want her to do, and she doesn't want to do it, she will just turn her head. Instead of I can't hear you, we get I can't see you. LOL

Well Hello

If I was by you I would sign to you and say Hello:)

Wow, so pretty!

what a doll! Is she a rescue also? Did the previous owner give her up because she is deaf? There is a great web site for blind and deaf dogs and cats who need homes. Reading their stories both break and warm the heart like nothing else.

Wow, It worked!! Now I will try some others.
