Slick has a wading pool also. I just wanted to see if he could swim a little before summer hits. We like to take my Golden, Amber, to the lake. He did manage to swim from the middle of the pool almost to the end. Of course I was right beside him in case he started to sink.

Looks like you both had a great time staying cool. My bully- Butch has a little wading pool to cool off in. Is there some reason you decided to introduce him to the big pool? We have one but I never thought of taking him in there. You guys have a great summer.

Is tried to goes for a swim yesserday when my two legger daddy was swimmin wif my boy and my girl, but they says "Tank, you can't swim, now go sit on the porch wif momma." Well I showded them. When momma went inside wif her momma, I got off the porch and jumped into that there big pool. Lived up to my name too, sank like a tank!! Good thing those two leggers were watching me pretty close and gots me out of there really fast! I's thought I was a goner! I thinks I'll stick to my kiddie pool for now! Buts yous did weel good slickster, wish I was as brave as you!

cookie would climb it...and she can not swim.

Our pool actually has very little chlorine. We are using a new Mineral cartridge that does not really use much chlorine at all. Just enough to keep the water clear. This was Slick’s first time in the big pool but we hosed him off really well afterwards. So far he seems to be doing fine.

As far as the liner goes we did not allow him to go that close. Hubby picked him up and put him in over the edge and did the same to get him out. He did say maybe we could put snow booties on him if he goes in again. He seemed to really like it and at the end of the day he took on little swim without using anything. And he stayed above the water.

Slickster, you did great in the big pool!! Your pictures are awesome!! And tell your Mommy that she should not be mad at you for posting the pictures with her in them. She is a lovely lady.

I love the pics! Slickster did a wonderful job - he looks like a pro! Does the chlorine bother their skin or eyes at all? Do you worry about him puncturing the liner of the pool? Just curious - we never thought to try Rosie in the pool but maybe it can be done???
