Human grade food
Submitted by judykids on April 20, 2010 - 5:26pmHow can you tell if it's human grade? They all say beef or chicken . I look to see if it's by-product or not and stay away from that but the other ingrediants I'm not sure about. I feed Bil Jac they seem to like it and they are doing good on it but Jose does have the tear stain.

the manufacturer will say on the bag if they are human grade ingredients. canidae, wellness, california natural, innova, and some others use quality ingredients in their formulations. if they are doing well on the biljac, look for something similar to that with better ingredients
may help the staining, it may not, but a better quality food will help their overall health

Look at the ingredients in their Wellness line. It states human grade meats & whole fruits & veggies.

IT would say if it is human grade. I am of the belief that if it ain't broke, don't fix it......
I mean, if you want to gauge by quality, no it probably isn't the best, but you could try giving a good supplement with it.
