It sounds like the vet is hitting the infection hard with the Baytril. It will be interesting to see how long she has to take antibiotics for this. Hope she gets to come home to you soon.

Just talked with one of the vets, got the blood results back, white blood count is 15,900, which is slightly elevated, showing she is fighting an infection, but not raging, which is a good sign. Everything else on the blood test was ok, no other problems indicated. They are giving her another IV now. They have been giving her Baytril.
Her temp has come down to 102.4. I am going to go down and see/visit her in an hour and hope "may-be" she can come home.
THANK YOU for the thoughts and prayers, it looks like they have helped so much, and I am so grateful for all the nice words and good thoughts.

must be the infection I guess...I know Codys stayed at 103-104 for 3 days...and it was maddening...but finally the antibiotics and steroids and antihistamines kicked in... I am happy to hear that she is resting ..and doesn't seem to hurt as bad...that is a relief ...yes? ..but I hope she can come home real soon...hugs to you and her mug...and prayers of course...I will be watching for another update....love ya bunches...ce
Hope she gets better, soon.

Per 1:00 a.m.....
Her temperature was still 103, seeming more restful, not crying or whimpering, but still can't really walk on her right front.
The vet called at 1 am to give me a report, so now I'm waiting to hear in the next hour or so, or just go down there at 9:00 a.m. to see her.
Yes, please post when you hear
something from the vet, today. Prayers are with you.
Yes Patti.. please...an update when you have time...

Will you be able to find out how this happened. I hate when you can't get a definate answer. I hope she continues to improve.
