How many english BDs do you have???? Like to hear from thise with 2 or more!!

I currently have 2 and am thinking about getting a 3rd but am concerned about future medical or health problems. On here it seems that no one usually has just one and lots of people have 3 or more. To any1 who has 3 or more are they for pets/companions or are they usually pets and breeders etc?

I forgot about the 'other' Mastiff breeds

like the Tosa, Neo and Dogue De Bordeaux - they aren't as common here as the others are.

Currently, and subject to change....

There are 5 adults and 3 pups with me.
Just sent a N/M Rescue onto a long term foster home and within 2 days got an adult female returned to me. So, until I get her placed, that makes 9 here.
The 3 adult females and the 2 adult males I have are intact, the 3 pups are only 5 months old. I show, have shown, or will be showing all of them, but the oldest female has had her last litter and will be spayed and probably shown in Veterans Class.
I found the real work/issues didn't happen until there were 4 here. That seemed to tip the balance about who got along with who and really upped the amount of work keeping them all happy and healthy.
As an example of the costs involved - Today the 3 pups went to the Vet for a check-up and their Rabies vaccinations. I also took one of the adult females for a pregnancy check (she isn't pregnant) and had a bill over $300. A Vet visit under $100 just doesn't happen for me.

European term

for the Bull breeds - Mastiff, Rottie, Bulldog, Bullmastiff, I think Boxer could be in there too.
It is the name of one of the FCI Groups, the way 'Working' is the name of one of the AKC Groups.

Suse, What's a molosser?

Is that another name for vet?

I have 6

at the moment happy.gif

3 here, all pets

I didn't mean to get a third, but he came through rescue and I ended up adopting him. It's a lot harder to walk three, especially because I have one is awful on leash... but otherwise it's good. I have insurance on all my dogs, and luckly (knock on wood) have had few medical problems. They all get along great for the most part.

I stopped counting at

4. Now I have 8. 2 males and 6 females. All the girls are very well together, but I had to separate the boys.
Fortunately my friend Sylke is a vet with great experience in molosser.
Have a great day!

thank you. I have...

a 16 month male thats not neutered who I plan on showing sometimes and a 9 month spayed female. I would like another puppy I think to add to the bunch but am curious if its gonna be overwhelming or not too bad. As for expenses the regular vet bills and such I'm ok with just dreading the day I may have to get a multiple thousand dollar surgery or something...

I have 3, all females, all spayed and just pets

and all 3 pretty well cost me an arm and a leg. I have 1 credit card that I use just for my vet care. 97% of all charges on it are for the bulldogs. Maybe about 3% is for the labs.
