Guinness got spayed on Tuesday and has had the worst diarrhea the past 2 days. I really want to give her a bath, but I don't know when it's safe. She did have the laser surgery which is supposed to promote faster healing, and her stitches are due to come out next Friday or Monday. Does anybody know when it's safe to bathe her? Thanks

Hi Jamie- Molly just got spayed also - Acting differently... (mo
For the past few days since we brought her home, at first she was ok, then she ended up opening her incision slightly and since then shes been a PEEING MACHINE!!!! She is peeing like mad, and just cant hold it, we'll get out the door and she'll immediately go on our deck where she never did this before... She peed on her bed, she doesnt do that either, its just insane... I feel bad because I cant tell if shes in pain
So we took her to the vet and they checekd her out and said shes ok and that the opening isnt bad ... Did your pup get actual stiches? Mollys are inside?? The skin where the incision is is really odd, its puffy and hard to explain how it looks.. but she has me a little worried, shes very VERY territorial now to , where she wanst before, she bit me today for the first time because we said it was time to give her bone up , shes just been really bad.
No diarea, just peeing alot... Wondering if shes in pain and this is how shes expressing it..
Petsmart
sells on wash which is a little better for a quick bath than the wipes but you could also just use a wet towel.
Yep, that's what we've been using
TONS of them! Thanks guys

Baby Wipes
These would work also.
I agree
I'd wait the 14 days for a bath but maybe you could get some of the bath wipes at petsmart and give her a little freshing up
Re: How long do we have to wait to bathe Guinness after her spay
If you really want to be completely safe wait 10-14 days. However, I have known people to do it 5-7 days later. I would wait the full 2 weeks myself and let everything fully heal up. web
