Has anyone tried one of those leashes made for walking two dogs? Can anyone suggest any other method to avoid getting all tangled up? (My mom asked for suggestions from you guys since she knows you're all so full of good ideas!)

There is a link in the middle to which you attach your leash, and then each end of the coupler hooks onto the two dogs' collars. Boo and Clovis are great with it.
I have one and use it with mu bullie and boston and it works great. I have the one that is adjustable in length between them so I can walk them close together and then adjust it to let them walk about 3 feet away.

First off each dog must learn how to walk on lead on their own and then you can start together. I bought a splitter for my 35lb. and my 67lb. and it was horrible! I now use the splitter for the two males 65lbs and 67lbs. and Rugby my female(35lbs) walks on a separate leash. If you use a splitter the dogs should be similar size or else the smaller dog will take the brunt of any pulling from the larger dog. I allow both males to walk out front and Rugby likes to walk at my side. I do not allow pulling. I have started using the command "haw" and "gi" for left and right turns. I think it will help with geting tangled. Still need more practice but I am sure we will get it eventually.

You are GOOD Ce! Very talented indeed. I tried walking my Greyhound and my Bulldog at the same time, and gave up. One wants to sit, one wants to go, one wants to be upfront, one wants to head back home, EEK! I've had success walking Spike without a leash, and he follows me at his own pace around the block. My Grey walks on a leash after Spike is done, he walks nicely along side my toddlers stroller (who incidentally is photo #31 in the contest ) I gave up on the together walks though.

...one I walk all 5 of my yelpxs at the same time...the two front springers have longer leads..and the two greys have a bit shorter and Mojo stays by my side with the shortest lead..and they all just sort of space themselves out...at corners we all stop and sit(well I don't sit, lol)and then we go ,so none are wandering under each other... also I have a friend with 6 greys..and she puts all the lead top loops on her belt and spaces them around her waist...as she walks the greys walk with her..but surrounding her.. ...just some thoughts on multi walking..smile..c.e

That walks about 4 or 5 at a time. They are little fluffy dogs but the are all on one hand held leash but they each have different leads. Does this make sense? How they dont get tangled up I dont know.
I use a coupler I bot from Petsmart
