HOW about a theme of HUMOUR today...everyone needs a good laugh..

was thinking maybe a theme of humour would be good
funny stories that stand out in your mind
add funny pics too
seems to be alot of sadness on the board lately
so this will help those members big time..

I can think of many on the board that could use some humour

LOL Cheryl..

how true it is...

my boston terrier years ago...........was a great mouser....

she was an awesome mouser.
the whole time she was in the house here..
do not remember there being any mice that I could see anyhow

she even caught one under the sink one time
she was 17 when she caught that mouse..
blind but she still caught the mouse..
not sure how she did that..
great dog..still miss her

our useless mouser cat was found in a dumpster

with his 2 sisters when he was a kitten. He had terrible ear and eye infections amd was nearly starved to death. We got him right from the animal shelter, so that was his only experience outsdie. The other cat was wild for the first few years of his life. Some lady fed him off her porch for 2 years, she actually caught him, had him neutered, then let him go again, but he always stayed at her house and she always fed him and loved on him on her porch. She had to move ans was afriad to leave him alone, so she cought him again and gave him to the animal shelter. Most cats are adopted out in a few weeks, but he was in this cage for MONTHS because no one wanted him. He is BEAUTIFUL, but he's a large adult long haired male. I fell in love with him, and now he's ours!

one more mouse story

My 2 old dogs are actually very good at catching mice. When the nasty little buggers would run out of the closet, we'd shoo it back in and let the dogs in there and they'd get them every time. One time my daughter's useless cat caught a mouse, and instead if killing it he took it UPSTAIRS to my daughter's bedroom and let it go! Under her bed. While she was on it. SHe was screaming standing up on her bed, refused to put a foot on the floor. Had to get the dogs to get the mouse, again, which they did.
We got another cat later on that was actually much better at catching mice, but he would vomit up partially digested mouse bodies. Yeah, it was THAT gross.

MY cat is really the best mouser..I got her.........

when the mice chewed my dishwasher hose and flooded the kitchen and tons of damage later...I put out the humane mouse traps and such and nothing happened. I could not put out poison with the dogs so the vet suggested that I rescue a wild cat. so I did, called the shelter and got Gypsy. she is totally awesome mouser..
she never misses a MOUSE ever..
if is in the house she gets it..unless it is in the daytime..
she stays clear out of the dogs way..LOL at much as possible.
she is fine with them all BUT Bella..
Bella and her agree to share the same house but that is about it...

Gypsy has been here about 1 year or so now. she got the first mouse when she was in the house for the first 5 minutes.
she is part simese. the vet told me that they are better mousers if they are wild. Gypsy was running the streets in town for a few months and had kittens in the wild...before she was rescued. she is great...I would not know what to do without her..

my cat is USELESS at killing mice!

we had a huge mouse problem a few years ago, when the farmer cuts the field in the fall all the mice seem to head across the street right to my house. It was so bad they chewed through the floor and walls to get in. This was before Audrey, but I still had 2 dogs and one cat. I wouldn't put rat poison out because it's just too dangerous, and one time my husband put out a sticky trap. Well, when I found the mouse in that trap, still alive, it nearly broke my heart. It was HORRIBLE! I used baby oil to get it free and put it in a shoebox to try to save it. I was crying and sobbing, my husband thought I was CRAZY! The poor thing died anyways, but I told him NEVER get those things again. Now we have a black snake that lives here, and although he eats the baby birds out of the nest on my porch, he does a VERY nice job of keeping the mice away. And he doesn't **** in my cupboards and eat my food.

Brian, Oscar, and Sugar.

Gus and his funny antics..

Gus is the household clown here.

at Christmas he ran under the tree..he can twirl it no problem..lol. the tree came down on him this year and he looked and looked and shook his head.. soo funny to see the poor bully. no harm done, put the tree back up and Gus was fine

Gus is always running in turbo. I have a hard time with him being deaf and NO does not work..lol. the one time he was coming around the corner and thought HE is going to hit something and that will be it. he hit the corner of the chair.. well instead of JUST picking up and running again..HE decided the next best thing was to JUST knock out the chair that was banged him

another funny story of Gus is when the pedigree Pal commericals come on TV.
HE DOES nuts when he sees the dogs on the commerical.
he ran the tv .the one day..just barking and barking..
it was far to funny to not have a good laugh

Gus is what I wanted in a bulldog. full of antics and tons of good laughs
he might be deaf but he is the best..

LOL maybe it was the breath......best laugh at my house YET..

had to see it to believe it
it would have won the worlds funniest video for sure..
it was a laugh and half..
it was the funniest thing at the house here yet ..Cheryl..

hope this thread cheers some people up a bit..
I am laughing as I am typing.so maybe..it will

MY deceased Father and MY dogs...2 really funny stories..

the first one happened many years ago. we had bought Treats for our then dog a daschound. she was our family pet for years as a kid. we still laugh at this to this day.
Dad was sleeping on the couch and when he got up in the morning..says
WOW those were the best pepperettes a person could buy..he ate the whole bag of them..
they were puperonies..LOL.
I thought he was litterally going to die on the spot..
it was cute..

another time..when I was married we brought down our boston terrier. for Some reason Dad and the boston did not get along.. NO matter what it did not get any better. the one time when visiting she barked at my Dad..and he said HEY be nice, you will never get inviited back and he called her some kind of name.
well he got in the morning, and was heading out to work. he put on his work boots and YELLED.
SOMEONE crapped in my boots. well we all broke out laughing. Tetley never ever made a mess in the house anywhere her whole life. well good thing he had clean socks and clean boots..
we still laugh at this to this day too..

although my Dad has passed many years ago...........he had a great sense of humour
even before he died in the hospital he was the same way....
guess I got it from him..lol

funny story of Bella and the MOUSE..

I had a mouse in the house here awhile ago and have posted this story before but it was soo funny.
the mouse came out during the day or the house cat might have caught it..lol.
it walked in the livingroom and I yelled GET that MOUSE. well all the dogs just kinda looked but did nothing.
along comes Bella, she sees it running..she walks right up to the mouse, bends down to have a good look and the mouse litterally dropped over of a heart attack. you can not get a better mouser then Bella..and good for a belly laugh too

BELLA'S ONLY one and only MOUSE..lol

she has seen them since that one but not shown much interest in them.
it would have been much better had the mouse ran from her then dropped over dead..lol.
she then would get the idea to chase them
no..she is not the mouser..lol. Leave it to the cat...she is here for a reason...

Now that is too funny!

Bella will take care of those mouses for ya.
