House Guest From Hell...I Need help! Please...Please...

My dear sweet friend visited with her male (un-neutered) cat. He SPRAYED my couch!!!! Hubby is going crazy from the smell and is hanging out in the garage, saying, "do something!"
What, what, what to do???????
What will make this odor go away?
It's gaggy!!
And...it's muggy and sticky today so the odor is sooooooo baaaaaadddd!
My friend left this am (as previously planned). She's a sweetheart, but her cat will never be welcome again.
Please, anyone know the best method to get rid of this?
The couch, by the way, is fairly new, and Annabelle and hubby's favorite place to snooze.
Even Annabelle opted to stay in the garage! Too much for her too!

Do you have a steam cleaner?

That might work, but...I have been using Simple Solution. It seems to work pretty good, and I personally think it smells EXACTLY like Anna's OMH 'Poo. Which is a great thing.

Good luck, cat pee is the worst!!!!

Odor

If none of the above works, you can try some vinegar. Vinegar does neutralize odors, but it will smell like vinegar for a while. I have used it in the carpet cleaner after cleaning the carpets and neutralize any left over oders.

Hubby's going camping. Chased him out didn't we? LOL

The Febreze works, somewhat. As soon as he leaves, I'm going to the pet store, grocery store, etc...and buy all kinds of things.
This is so baaaadddddd.
Stinks terrible.
I think I am starting to smell. LOL

My Cat Spray experience...almost made me DIE

I was up at Cultus Lake and left the window in my car open - BIG MISTAKE. A cat jumped in and sprayed the entire interior of my car...my solution. NIL ODOUR...worked like a charm.

The smell of NIL ODOUR was really strong at first, but then it nuetrilzed and it smelled like my normal car.

I have it in a liquid form

I got it at the pet store. They may have it in a powder form but I just use the liquid kind.

The tip above about the Fabreze is a good one. I used that stuff last year to get the gasoline smell out of my suburban. (It leaked out of a gas container). It worked like a charm... good luck!

Good idea, get it out of the house!!

I have some febreze, so I will try that.
Thank you!

Nature's Miracle neutralizes pet odors....give it a try but I wo

Try febreze

Lucky had diareah on my front seat in the car when he was a puppy! After crabbing out all the poop, I used Febreze to get rid of the scent in my (small) car. After smelling funny for a week, the scent disappeared totally (and it was summer...).

The stories about Febreze are said to be urban legends....

May be you can take the coach outside to vent, after putting the Febreze on.
