My holistic vet introduced me to Homeoplasmine, a people's ointement for skins irritations, as a means to clean my Scarlett's many folds. You just apply a bit along the fold, face or tail etc, & within a few mins. depending on level of cleanliness, the cream absorbs all of the gunk. Then, just wipe it off! Also great to soften cracked noses, paws, skin irritations. Homeoplasmine is available at any pharmacy, although typically cheaper at Walmart
