Hi - Need Advice, Mollys pottying problems...

Hi Guys, since Molly was spayed this past Wendsday, shes been having problems with going potty, now I know this is somewhat normal, but I really am going out of my mind

On Friday, Molly started having accidents, actually after her incision opened this began happening, accidents in the house when she hasnt done it in a long time, going in her crate, guessing she cannot hold it and this is why, then when I take her outside she stoops for a while and nothing will come out.

I called the vet to tell them that she is still doing this, and they said its from the surgery and possibly to give her an asprin, but I really need bulldoggers advice I just dont kno what to do, when I called the vet, I said "Do you possibly think maybe she has a UTI" and they said no, that the uterus sits right on top of the bladder, and they removed the uterus so it will take a little bit for her to get back to normal.

Also, she is having trouble pooing, she will stoop for a while because she cant get it to come out, probally because its somewhat painful and only little bits will come out , not like she normally goes.

I know this could all be from surgery, but I just want to make sure its nothing else. Does anyone suggest I give her an asprin? Let me know what you all think, sorry I keep posting messages about her pottying problems, its just to the point we are afraid to let her out of her crate besides to feed and go potty because we are afraid of her having loose bowel movements all over house, and theres no way to contain her anymore becuase shes so big I just dont kno what to do ... could you tell this face she has to be in her cage because shes a pottyhead?

I know its rough

but when Daisy was spayed she acted the same way and it took about 2 wks for her to get back to normal.

Did you have the laser surgery done?

My Guinness hasn't shown an increase in peeing since she got spayed on Tuesday, but that's only because she always pees incessantly. Has Molly had any diarrhea? That's what we're having problems with   I know the laser surgery heals faster--that's why I was wondering if she had that?

Love them Bullies!

I'm sorry..I misspelled Molly's name above. n/m

Poor Mollie....

Hi Frannie,
When Gretta was spayed it took her two weeks to get back into her normal routine. She was totally housebroken but was having accidents in the house...not her fault..it was because of the surgery...and she would do exactly what Molly was doing...squatting for a little bit before she actually peed....she would also have to urinate alot! 15-20 minutes after we had last been out she had to go again...and if I was not watching closely she would squat in the house....but there was no way I could be upset w/her.
I've had invasive surgery and remember how painful it was to do everything..so I can only imagine even though Bullies have a high pain tolerence how unpleasant it must be for them.
I have given Gretta and my GSD Ascriptin for pain relieve..it is safe for them and can be found at any drug store.
I hope this helps...give Molly a hug from us

Sorry Molly is having problems

wish I had some advice but I have always had males, so have never gone through this. But hope she is better soon.
