he vet just called a little while ago and said Mollys surgery went well and that she was in the process of waking up, what really upset me was that I could hear her moaning THe lady who called me was sitting with her, which is good but I could hear her moaning
I felt terrible, I cannot wait to see her I miss her so much the house is so quiet
When we take her home they said not to let her jump on couch or anything for 10 days, is this right? The thing that concerns me is taking her outside to potty, we have about 10 stairs and she nearly breaks your back picking her up, do you think its necessary to pick her up and take her down the stairs to go potty, or should she be ok ... scared mommy needs advice, and thank you guys so much for thinking of us we love you all
good to hear :)
frannie,
the moaning and noises dogs make while waking up are all normal. its just the anestesia making them silly, don't feel bad, they are not fully awake.
hugs to molly, i'm glad she did well.

Good girl Molly
Glad all went well, as we knew it would. She will be fine doing the stairs but for the first few days it may be a good idea to keep her on collar and lead so she doesn't overdo.
No stairs or jumping on and off furniture because we don't want her popping any sutures.
So glad Miss Molly is ok
Molly
I am so glad to hear that Molly's surgery went well! Once again, our prayers are answered!
Ten days is about normal for keeping them quiet. It is so that she does not tear the stitches open or cause some sort of damage at the site of the surgery.
Sleeping on your bed should not be a problem as long as she does not jump off of it.
I cannot remember what I was told about stairs. You should probably ask that question when you go to pick her up.
Let us know when she gets home!!
Jane
Hmmm...
I don't see why she couldn't sleep in your bed. Just make sure she doesn't jump off. Let us know when she is home. Good Luck!
We are glad that she is doing good!
Pleas keep up posted!
Love,

Hi Joanna -I'll get more info tonite :)
The one thing I wanted to ask is this, we always let Molly sleep on the bed with us, is this goin to be safe tonite? I want her nearby so if she crys or something goes wrong we are right by her side, should we just put her crate in the bedroom, or would having her sleep with us in our bed ok , its a king so she'll have plenty of room ...
Re: Hi Guys - Molly Update :)
Frannie,

So glad the surgery went well! When is Molly comming home? I don't know about the stairs, you should ask your vet. But, I think the point is that Molly shouldn't be running around getting all crazy, as she has just had surgery and has sutures. Is the 10 days the amount of time she'll have the sutures? Sheldon had sutures for 10 days, too and our vet just said not to let him get all wound up (but I think a neuter is less invasive than a spay). I'm sure you'll get a better response from the wiser bulldogers on the board. Good luck! Smooches to Molly
