Hi Sandra, I haven't been here very long but I am sure that you will always be a bulldogger at heart and more than welcome here! Your Leilah is a real beauty. I'm so, so sorry about the difficult times you've had.

I don't think we'v met yet, I just found the board in November. I can NOT imagine the pain of the losses you went through. But I'm glad you have your girl to help you heal. She is BEAUTIFUL.

you have been through way too much lately and I know how much you miss Coop and your son. Great that little JP is doing well What about AJ? Did I miss something? I don't get on FB much lately (tax time started) and am bad at emailing to check in with people.

You always have a place here even w/o a bulldog. You are family and people miss you. And why not share some pix of your gorgeous girl - others share their non bulldog family.

He was a gorgeous boy running loose olong the median of a four lane very busy highway.

I saw a guy coming the opposite direction stop and jump out of his car. Then I looked ahead of me and saw the dog coming towards me. I slammed on my brakes and swerved over into the right lane to slow those cars down.

I just stopped in the middle and blocked all the traffic. The dog darted through the cars away from the guy who was trying to help catch him. I always have leashes, so I got out and went over to where the dog was. He was scared. I sweet talked him over to me and the guy was able to get the leash looped around his collar.

Only one person was angry that I stopped all the traffic. He took off going around my car along the median on the left side of my car. Everyone else gave me and the guy smiles and thumbs up.

Since I was blocking all the cars, I left the dog with the guy and got back in my car. I called 911 hoping the police would get to the scene before someone called the number on the dog's tags. I think he was a fighting dog. He had scars all around his mouth and one of those big thick spiky leather collars on.

I can still see his face and big beautiful worried eyes. I hope he is okay..

News like yours would have destroyed me. You're a much stronger personality than I think I could ever be. The Warden and I are so happy you're healing and have a new pup to occupy that special place that Cooper occupied. And please don't go away. We understand what you're telling us, but it's like you're a cornerstone here. We send our love and prayers for you and your family. We also know how an animal can help to comfort you in times of stress. Spoil your baby; it's your job! Peace.

You have certainly been tested these last few months. I hope things are getting better. Life is just so hard some times.

pit bull breed until I met my sisters Pit Bull. My sister lived (she just passed away Jan.16th bless her heart)four hours away.She would tell me what a sweetheart Posh was. Well after a visit with to my sisters I fell in love with Posh. She was so loving.She would sit and lick my legs. She loved my sister so much she would sit at the door (trying to block it) when we tried to take my sister out for awhile and bark at her.When my sister came for a weekend to visit us Posh would not eat while she was gone. Posh is 11 yrs.old.My poor sister was on a vent machine in the hospital and there was no hope of her coming off of it so she decided she wanted them to turn it off.Right before they were to put her in a deep sleep so she wouldn't suffer Dottie wrote on a piece of paper a note to her 10 kids.It read I love you all and Posh. Everyday while in the hospital for a month or more she asked about Posh. Her kids promised her Posh would be taken care of. I now believe they are truly a misjudged breed. I wish I could bring Posh home to live with us but I am sure she will be happier with the family she knows. Enjoy your girl.Hugs,Gloria
