I feel embarrassed about writing this but, we have a flea problem. Tried the borax/salt and did not work. Afraid to use Raid as we have 3 week old puppies and I am not sure what to do.
Any suggestions would be helpful. I do prefer the organic approach due to new puppies but will try anything that will be safe for their health.

Thank you for your help!!
Means alot and hopefully we will be flea free in a week. Just about to hit a freeze and I think this will help us as well.
We have a stray and we believe that is where we came down with the fleas.
Y'all are AMAZING!!

we had a flea problem earlier this year...
we got them just as we were getting our MOUSE problem under control. we caught it early and the vet gave us a topical flea/tick thing and a spray bomb. once the mice were gone and we treated the dogs the fleas disappeared.

Hey Lisa
Diatomaceous earth-there are two kinds. One is all natural (food grade), the other has stuff added to use in pool filters. Use the all natural one.
It is a very fine powder, and can be applied directly to all of the animals. You just put some in your hads and rub it into their coats down to the skin. Don't make lots of dust, as breathing it in will cause coughing.
I had a SEVERE problem with fleas a few years ago. My daughter was letting my cat out, and she was the cause. I treated all three dogs and the cat, and put the DE on the furniture and all along the walls in the house, and then used the vacuum in a day, and repeated every other day. Took about 5 days, and everything was flea free. I cannot/won't bomb the house because I have a large collection of reptiles, and would have to move them all out of the house.
Here is one website that has it. If you have feed/garden stores near you, they may carry it. It really does work.
