Help, my bully turned into a statue...
Submitted by admin on April 20, 2010 - 5:27pmwhen I put his rain coat on. It is rainy season in FL. Sheldon outgrew his rain coat from last year. I finally bought him a new one and he hates it! He would rather get wet. He just stands there like a statue and refuses to go out. How can I get him to accept it? Would it be mean if I made him wear it around the house, in hopes that he will get used to wearing clothes, again? Thanks.

Anyhoo, did you get a chance to ask around for a home for Sumo? He's a FL only placement, and at his age, with obed classes would make an excellent bully-pal.

Why make him wear it?
Just put an old towel by the back door and give him a good drying off when u get back in teh house.
Why a raincoat?
If he clearly doesn't have a problem with getting wet?
A good brush with a towel after the walk, and some babypowder on his wrinkles does the trick aswell.
I'm from wet Holland, and my dog has never wore a raincoat.
I don't want to critize, but why the trouble?
