HELP.. Maggie is having an allergic reaction...

We just returned from our trip to Reno and Maggie has broken out in a horrible rash and hives.. She has had only her hypo-allergenic food, no treats, has eaten no bugs.. (..that we know of..) and is broken out around her face, lips, tummy, under her legs and also has some weeping in 2 of her face wrinkles.. Her breathing is mildly labored, but we are watching her very closely.. Please help..

Is benadryl O.K. to give to her..?? Is Benadryl cream on the tummy O.K...?? Should we take her in to the ER vet..??

Re: HELP.. Maggie is having an allergic reaction...

The benadryl is fine, Theo does this sometimes and the first time I grabbed him up and rushed to the vet and he said to just give him the benadryl every 4 to 6 hours. It works.

Benedryl is fine,and

if it doesn't do the trick and she's miserable take her to the vet and they may give her some steroids. This sounds like a real bad reaction.

Poor Maggie ... poor you!

How worrysome!

I'll watch for your updates ... smooches to Maggie!

Give her benedryl

Oscar weighs 75 pounds and can have 2 25 mg tablets. He gets hives too. if they don't stop take her to the ER vet.
