HELP! I am apalled by what I am seeing on ebay!

I don't quite understand what it is that this person is trying to sell. He is making it sound like he is selling a domain name, but there are several pictures of puppies for sale!

Here's what his page says:

"We keep getting e-mails about these puppies. We know where to send you buy these pups. They are all available! We are not selling the pups but If you are interested in one of the pups on this webpage please send a $250 finders fee via PayPal to (i'm leaving out the email address) and we will send you the link.

We would like to trade a breeding pair of champion English Bulldogs or Several puppies for this Domain Name. You can buy the Domain Name now for $5000. Bidding Starts at $500 No Reserve!"

This seems kinda backwards. They wanna sell their domain name for "several puppies" or a "breeding pair"! I don't think this is supposed to be on ebay!

HELP!

I just tried to look at it and it is already gone :)

Hey Webbie...

Bulldogsworld.com and .org work, but not .net. Smart thinkin' getting all three .

Re: I'm confused...

The .org names is set up in hopes that those who use that extension will be non profit or a group, not a FULL run regular business, however that has kind of fell apart and many people use that as another extension since lot of the .com are gone. bulldogsworld has .com .net .org just to keep them for our sites mainly since there the big 3 extensions. but everyone uses .com at bulldogsworld

I'm confused...

I went and looked at it (on ebay), and the domain name is .org. I always thought that was for groups that are non profit, and things like that. Guess I was wrong. Weird!

Who evers auction that is must be really greedy. He wants a fee for this, a fee for that, trade me this, blah, blah, blah...some people .

agree

I agree with Liz. EBay is against auctioning live animals, and will remove the listing. This is a little different in that they want to trade, but I would think that EBay will pull that one too.

Jane

i'm in the live chat with them right now!

That's what's weird, they are selling a domain name, but they are asking for "several puppies" or a "breeding pair".

And a $250 "finders fee" to tell you where you can go to buy the puppies that are in their listing!

Oh well, I reported it!

just email ebay

just email ebay. they have a contact link on their page.

give them the auction number and they usually put a stop to things like that.

however, selling a domain is not illegal...i don't really understand how they would trade for a dog. but bring it to ebay's attention. they are usually pretty good about ads and dogs for sale.
