wondered if your bully would truly notice the absence of your presence???
My husband left for a workshop in N. Missouri yesterday evening. Things were normal all evening and all night. But this morning, after our normal trip out to pee/poo, walk to the kitchen to eat and make coffee, go out again to pee/poo, then take balls upstairs for playtime while mom gets ready for school...I was in the bathroom when everything got very quiet. I went to the door to find Mozie and Ollie standing at the top of the spiral stairs staring down. They were very intent on something. When I checked, all toys were still on the second floor with us. It finally occurred to me that they were watching for daddy to come up the stairs to play with them. I told them daddy is gone today, they resumed their play. After five minutes or so they went back to watch down the stairs for daddy again. This went on from 6:00 to 7:00 this a.m. When hubby called, I put him on speaker phone and they both went to the phone to lick it and bark. Those little stinkers are so smart. They know when someone is missing from their normal routine. It was one of the sweetest things I've seen them do. I just had to share.
Daddy will return late tomorrow night, so I imagine we will go through the "where's dad?" bit again in the morning. Love these bullies!!!
They could tell dad was getting ready to leave yesterday...just look at Ollie's face

Stella's dad is gone a lot
So she's kind of used to it. However, when mummy leaves, that's a different story! Apparently, she gets quite discombobulated when I go away. Mummy's little sweetheart!
Such Smart Bullies...
And they'll give Daddy such a wonderful welcome home too!

I must add, Maggie, that you have such an interesting home with a beautiful interior.
You bet they know when someone they love is gone. Just little an

You think dogs will not be in Heaven? I tell you, they will be there long before any of us.

Thanks Pat. I have had internet trouble this evening. There was
to the title of the post, but it disappeared! My sons are grown and have little sons of their own. Moze and Ollie are our children now. I'm so glad they are here to fill the empty spot left when the boys moved out.
