I am in shock as I write this. Clovis's lab report is not good. She has a Grade III mast cell tumor that is poorly differentiated. Grade III is the worst of the three grades. My vet said, however, that there is a new chemotherapy drug called Palladia that has had good results. Is anyone familiar with Palladia? Thanks.

Gary, I am very sad to read this post...
your darling little Clovis! My biggest thoughts and prayers and all my love to your sweetie pie, CLOVIS! She is truly one of the big characters of BDW...I have loved her ever since I signed up here. I do not know anything about the drug but am sure you will hear from several here who do.

My ususal guess is that if the vet thinks it's a good thing, then it probably is. It is always more assuring when you hear and learn more before entering into any of these treatments. the very best of luck and my thoughts are with you all there!

No I am not familiar with this treatment, sorry. But your sweet girl will be in my thoughts and prayers (and her Dad too). Sorry you guys are going through this.

Wow...upsetting news about Clovis.
Hope that this medication does very well for her. I didn't have Mast Cell cancer but did have Grade IIIb cancer and I've been in remission (no evidence of disease) for three years after treatment, so be optimistic!
Our thoughts and prayers...
are with you and your special lady!
