Off to the hardware store...

Since Diesel and I are into this showing thing full force I decided to make a grooming table myself. A friend of mine told me she made hers and it is much less expensive than buying one.
All you need is:
Plywood
Rubber matting
table legs

I still had to purchase a noose and a grooming arm at the pet store.

A grooming table runs about $115.00 Cdn.

I made mine:
Plywood-$0 leftover in the garage
Rubber matting-$6.00
Table legs-$15

Big difference in price and just as good as the grooming table in the stores.

The arm was $35.00
and the noose was $8.00

You don't have to show to use this. It makes cutting nails and cleaning wrinkles, etc. much easier without breaking your back and your dog is restrained.

Ha! Ha! trust me if I can do it anyone can...

The legs are your regular metal folding table legs approx. 28" high.
The size of the table top should be big enough to support your bully and maybe some grooming supplies while your cleaning them up. I am making mine approx 2'x 3'.

Get rubber matting because it is easy to wipe off. It is sold in rolls at any hardware store and get enough to cover the table top and fasten underneath with a staple gun or whatever your preference.

Because I am carrying mine around to the shows I made mine with plywood so it was lighter. YOu can use chipboard or anything you might have lying around to make a table top out of.
I also found a nice thick nylon noose rather than the thin nylon strings you usually find. It should be more comfortable on a bully's neck.
Good luck.
