Last night we went to bed at around 11pm....an average time..dogs went out before bed and everyone was settled... at midnight I am awakened by Gretta whining and growling...no sounds from the GSD..so outside we go....she patrolled the yard like it was full of invaders..huffing and growling (kind of gave me goodebumps )...
Settled her back in..went downstairs....and here we go again at 1am..same routine (and she did not have to go to the bathroom either time)..put her in her crate and she started barking and growling..having a fit...so..where did i sleep the rest of the night??? On the couch..made her favorite chair comfy for her..and got almost no sleep because she was so restless...
So the only thing I could think of is that she was "hopped up" on the benyadril she is taking to see if we can stop the paw licking ..she has been takingone pill in the am and one in the evening...but this is the first time she has acted this way.
is it possible for those little pink pills to affect her in this way? She is fine otherwise (exhausted today..we are home because my daughter is sick)...Gretta has no fever...nothing to show that she is not feeling well....maybe she just wanted company last night??
Hahahaha
Theo sees buggars and will bristle up all over, and of course I don't see a thing.
That's hilarious
sounds even better than the line in the movie, lol.
Gary....
Gretta has done that! She sits in the chair and is clearly following something with her eyes...and I cannot see what it is...her hair stands up...it is pretty wild...I am expecting her to say "I see dead doggies" ala the movie The Sixth Sense

ME TOO
I have decided that I am no-good on benadryl. I will lay in bed and my mind will race. I will be up all night. I hate it. It also makes me very sick at my stomach. I gave up on it.
No doubt it could affect a bully the same way!
Kris
Maybe she saw a ghost
Now don't laugh, but my dogs have on occasion acted like they are seeing a ghost. Their eyes and head will follow something unseen move across the room, and their hair stands up on end. Seldom happens, but it's fascinating when it does.
Kim, that happens to me!
I don't mean the huffing and growling and freaking out part, of course.
But when I take Benadryl, I get WIRED, unlike the rest of the world that gets groggy.

That's why we actually have Grover on Tavist, an antihistamine that supposedly doesn't cause drowsiness... or super PEPPYNESS!
I don't know for sure, but I wanted to share my own personal HUMAN experience with ya.
