Grass spots

Has anyone tried the supplements that are suppose to keep pee from turning the grass brown? I want to know if anyone is aware of health affects from changing the ph of the urine. Thanks.

Not ketchup...

...too much vinegar and salt.. Just plant ol' tomato juice..

..Unless it's Boo, of course, then you'd want to use Bloody Mary Mix!!! ..and a shot of vodka!!

Nice try, Boo.....lol.....n/m

What about Tabasco sauce?

and fried chicken? I hear they help to, especially if given daily.

I think ketchup has too much salt and preservatives in it to be

I don't know that for a fact though... just assuming.

What about Ketchup?

Would that work too or does it have to be tomato juice?
Good Idea Robin, Im to scared to give Gertie anything right now!!!

Give them a tablespoon of tomato juice...

..that will help keep the urine from turning the grass brown..

Not sure with Gertie though.. I'd wait till she's a little older before giving it to her.

Angus has a spot to pee pix

When Angus was little we had spots all over the place. Now we teach him to go up on the second level. So at least we can see it or people who walk into our yard. Until they go up top. He is soo good. We say "allt he way to the top",,, ok sometimes we have to say it over and over. then he races up!!

if you look clase you can see a spot.

I tried supplements and they didn't work.......

I tried the supplements for Bubba and they didn't work but my vet said they were safe. His pee actually killed the grass less w/ age. Also, I was told the reason girls kill grass more is because they pee closer to the ground when squating and it is in a more concentrated area whereas most boy dogs lift their leg. However, Bubba is 18 months and still doesn't lift his leg.

tomato juice..

Is also suppose to help with tear stains!

Another good question

I dont have a big problem with Bulldozer but when I had a female her whole area was brown. I dont know why but the females pee is stronger than the boys.

Grass spots no more

Try putting two tablespoons of tomato juice over their food. They'll love it. This is an old Martha Stewart trick.

Yes Im interested to know too

I get double the brown spots now!!!
