Girl Bullies Only - Ever see little red bumps down there?
Submitted by admin on April 20, 2010 - 5:26pmWhile cleaning Lucy's vulva (pee-pee) I notices a couple of red bumps that looked almost like pimples. Have you all ever seen these? What's the cause and cure? I'll post on medical board too.

I just called the vet. They said to try a triple antibiotic ointment for a few days, then to call back. I hope this works.

I took Molly to the vet for a consult before her spaying and they gave me pills for this, cleared it right up, said its normal in pups, shes 5.5 months old, how old is your girl?

Sometimes Diamond will get red down there, and have some little bumps. She also will get this on her tummy. I will clean it with a baby wipe or some antibacterial soap, rinse it very well, dry it, and they put some hydrocortizone cream on it. It usually goes away in a few days. The problem with Diamond seems to be that her vulva is tucked up so far that when she pees, it kind of goes everywhere. So when she comes in I wipe her with either a baby wipe or Kleenex.
