Surgery is not an option as the infection is not localized enough to be able to be removed.
Seems that the IV antibiotics are not getting where they need to be to help her fight this.
Her carbon dioxide continues to rise and her trachea is really affecting her - unless she is spoon fed, she doesn't want to put her head down to eat.
All in all - she needs a healing miracle. We are going back sunday to see her and talk to the drs. I hate the fact that I may have to make some rough decisions. I am sick over this. We really had hoped that theings would have gone better for her. When I adopted her, I thought her biggest challenge would be her incontinence, not a near-fatal pneumonia. Life takes some strange turns......
