Our baby girl is holding her own. She is a little fighter. We did see some improvement on her xrays yesterday which was a great surprise.
She seems to cycle. She gets spunky, perks up for a few days, and then exhausts herself.
I am really hoping and prayign that the prayers and positive thinking along with the holistics will help her through.
I have been going everyday - an hour and 45 minutes each way and holding her. She sleeps in my arms peacefully for a change and can propp her little head up so that her trachea is extended better. I think it makes ALL the difference....
For anyone who is interested, she is on Amikacin (sp), a broncial med, flower remedies, colostrum, and various "standard process" supplements like fenugreek. She might go on baydril next.
And they brought in ANOTHER bully in the same situation today into the ICU.....so sad. I am just wondering how many more pups I will have to encounter in my life with kennel cough pneumonia....
Thank you for your continued support, positive thinking and prayers. Without this board - I know things would be different!!!!!!!!!
Kris
Get well soon Georgia so you can come home and be really spoiled

That is such good news
I am so happy that she seems a little better, will keep on sending the prayers and well wishes and hugs her way.
NO FUNDRAISERS - Georgia's bills
Thanks for the kind thoughts and words.

I am telling everyone to save their money for people/bullies/shelters who have no resources.
I am asking for prayers and positive thoughts from everybody - which everyone has provided plentifully! With one exception.....
I am very disapointed that her former owner/breeder fell off the face of the earth. Her friendship and support would have been nice, more than anything Georgia needs that. More than money or anything else, it would have helped us at certain times.(PLEASE DO NOT COMMENT ON THIS!)
Her medical bills have totalled over twelve thousand dollars. Ironically, we found out that Butch's father (who was killed in a car accident in Dec) had a life insurance policy through the auto insurance that covers most of it. Found money - God provides.
Kris
Thanks
I have been warned by the dr., thanks! It is that serious that we may need to use it......

I think it is great for you to be there
When my daughter was born they told us that someone should go see her everyday in the nicu. I was at a diff hosp so my husband went at night, my mom went during the day to feed her and talk and they said that it really helped. You are A VERY WONDERFUL PERSON AND GEORGIA WILL BE FINE.
Thank goodness
Oh Kris Im so happy to hear her progress. What a momie she has! Driving all that way everyday, bless your heart... It just makes my day reading your posts.
Give that girl one heck of a hug for me ok!
Im glad she is doing better. Be careful w/ Baytril
Baytril can cause some tendon problems.
Many prayers still coming to Little Georgia...
