I just came back to NY from Vegas and booked my brother's package through AmericaWest. Round trip airfare from JFK to Vegas and 3 nights at Treasure Island was $353.00 per person. You can also check Vegas.Com, they have good specials too.

Southwest is always offering flights at the last minute for next to nothing. I have registered with them so they will e-mail me when they run their "fun fares" which are really cheap. Haven't booked a flight yet and might just wait until Sept. before I do. I am also checking out package trips which you can get really cheap, that is why I have not booked a room yet. You can get some really good promotional fares. If all else fails, I may be flying the red eye and staying at the "Ho Hotel" if this backfires on me.

The dates I plugged in for you were to come on Wed, leave on Saturday. I realize it didn't "copy" good to the post.

Just go to the link I had given in my post down below for Southwest airlines. Go to the reservations tab, and put in the information, day leaving, day returning, month, dates, etc. It will ask before noon, after noon, anytime..Then it will come up with what choices there are, which ones are available. But the promotional ones are always limited, and if you wait a month or so, (or earlier) they will be taken.

Usually though, SWA are not non stop. But that is why they can give cheaper flights than other airlines.

what some of that stuff means, like Fun Fares and Promotional. Also, I hate to fly, so probably won't take a flight that is not non-stop. And are those round trip prices, or one way?

I would probably come in on Wednesday or Thursday and leave on Saturday morning. I don't want to leave the dogs in a kennel over the weekend, as no one is there other than teens who come in briefly to walk the dogs just once a day.
