Gail though I'd share ths pic....not bullie related

since we share a love of horses....
This was Jazz as a 4 yr old...she was so awesome but have to admit that many of our Apps are heavily GH bred. She's a Zippo Pine Bar gd. I do love color but sometimes its just not there when you are looking for a good one.

I love horeses

H i my name is emily just saw your tittle thought i would write to you . T o tell you i love horese.

Nice mare!

I wanted a blue roan so bad and I had a trainer tell me to get one that moves great first before color! Too bad we can't always get exactly what we want:) I guess if you have the bucks you can get it though! However we don't have about 20,000 just laying around-hahaha! Malinda

Re: Don't know much about horses---

awwwww. your dog is so cute. your probably right your dog does not know much about houres

your 10 year old friend sarah

It's a business....like anything else

and the solid horse registry allowed our poor solid babies to become more then grade horses and dog food. But breeding to better the breed is what every breeder stives for, horses or dogs. The color issue is quite a controversial one. No genetical study has pinpointed the issue of why one colt can be solid and one colored out of the same parents.
But then there are also several Appaloosa's out of both reg QH parents. Must be throw backs from the yrs when the horses ran the range, GH, Paints and Apps. I suppose same goes with paints (cropouts) from both GH parents. We can even get an occasional paint from 2 Apps, but they are defininately not registerable and hidden in the barn. HaHa

Yep ... looks like it's right out of a Quarter Horse journal!

But many of the best Paints and Appaloosas seem to "colored" Quarter Horses. I guess it makes sense since Quarter Horses contribute so much to those breeding programs.

Thank you Judy....

she was a lovely mare. Also an awesome horse to show, and tough to beat.
