Follow up question- Dahlyla

In a previous post I explained how dahlyla had started limping but when I touched her leg she didn't yelp or pull away. I took the advice to rest her and not let her jump up and sown on furniture, etc. Well yesterday she appeared to be doing a lot better and hardly even limped. Well halfway through today she started limping again, and even worse. She still doesn't wince in pain or pull away, but my fiance and I notice that when we extend her leg in and out we can feel a sort of popping that isn't present in her other hind leg. I'm still resting her and I plan to do so for a few days to see how she progresses. I just thought I'd let you guys know the new popping symptom to see if anyones experienced this with their bully baby. It sure is hard resting this little girl though because she's used to go go going!!! I feel so bad when she wants to run and play with my other dogs and I have have to crate her until she settles down:(

Keep up that rest

The popping sound is likely the patella. She may or may not have problems with it. I know of dogs that have a popping patella that have never had any other issue, while others have progressive problems. Have your vet check it (and be sure it's a vet that knows bulldogs well) and keep an eye on it for any changes. Sometimes, as the dog matures, it improves due to better muscle development. Sometimes it deteriorates. I hope Dahlyla improves quickly!
