Wonderful expressions on little Flynn. Strays are great pets too
The year our golden retriever died, a little black stray came to our house. I took him right in and he's been my boy ever since. That was five years ago. He is neutered and a great little mouser. Your kitty pics are very sweet.

She is a stray who just walked up to me and let me pick her up
I feed a family of cats (used to be 6, but 2 were killed), all now adults, that live in a little wooded area next to a school in my subdivision. After 1 1/2 years of feeding them quite well (including Popeye's chicken sometimes), three of the four still won't come near me. One will rub up against my legs but will snarl at me if I try to pick him up. Well, one day I was out feeding them when I heard what sounded like a kitten meowing. I saw a very, very skinny orange kitten come running for the food. To my surprise, the 4 adults let him eat at first, but after a while, two of the four started snarling at him. He then ran right towards me and jumped up in my arms when I reached down. He then crawled up to my shoulders and laid across the back of my neck. To my additional surprise, he stayed there the entire time as I walked the approximately 100 yard distance to my car. And once I put him in the car and got in, he curled up on my lap. That is the first time I've ever had a kitten get that friendly that quickly, as in the first 10 minutes that I knew him. For more than a year now, I've been feeding three different sets of stray cats, about 15 to 20 altogether (several have been killed but then new ones seem to always show up). Not a one of those cats has ever let me pick them up and put them in my car. Only two have so much as let me pet them. Yet this little kitten eagerly let me pick him up and just as eagerly got in my car. He was probably too young to know any better, but it still seemed like fate. And ironically, one of the two cats from the family of six that live by the school, who was also the first one killed, looked almost exactly like the one that got in my car. He was also my favorite since he would sometimes follow me home and sit on my lap on my front porch. It's almost like he was reincarnated and came back.

But my biggest surprise of all is how well new orange kitten and my other cat (i.e., Cat Bastard), who is now about 5 years old, get along. Since both are males, I thot there would be some fighting, but instead they play and cuddle all the time.

Why thank you Flynn
