Fluff update, Monday a.m.
Submitted by admin on April 20, 2010 - 5:26pmThey sedated her Sunday to take a sample from her shoulder to have a culture done. I spent several hour there on Sunday.
This morning, on the way to work, John and I stopped to see/visit her. Held her in our lap like a baby, which she enjoys so much. She is still running a temperature of 103, plus or minus. She acts just very exhausted. However, I know she enjoyed having her lap hold, resting her head against our chest. She started doing her little "blowing her checks out"... We then took her outside to go pee pee. She doesn't seem to do it for them, but when we put her down, told her to go potty, she immediately did a long minute of peeing.
Then we put her back in her cooling cage she is in, and since she didn't seem to be drinking the water for them, John got a fresh bowl, and asked her if she "wanted a cocktail"...(another one of our stupid little things. She then drank for about a minute.
They have added genicin along with the Baytril, and something else, so I hope it starts kicking in. We'll stop after work again, to at least get her to potty and drink.
Thanks for all the good thoughts and emails. It is so appreciated. And, Anthony Williams, don't bother with your usual...you don't have to be huggy and kissy for me, but you don't need to offer unneeded remarks, either.

You need support at this time at least until your Fluff turns the corner and is on her way home. I know you miss her and she misses you guys. It's nice that you can stop by and at least release some of minor discomforts even if it's just to take her outside and get a drink it's her knowing you care and haven't forgot her. Keeping you and yours in our thoughts

I am glad she is holding her own. I am sure she is glad to see you all when you visit. At least she is able to walk out to pee and stand, she must have some strength. I am checking this at work so have to go quick. Bye
