Flooring advice for new Dog Room

We have 2 each 10 month old male Brindle littermate Bullies. We are converting a 6 foot x 7 foot porch into their own room. We cannot decide on what typy of flooring to install. Any small size industrial mats previosly laid down have been systematically pulled up and torn to shreads by the beasts. We considered garage decking , but the plastic is too hard. Tile, wood and carpeting are out anf vinyl tiles too slippery. Something durable, cleanable and someone soft for traction is ideal. We also considered health club type matting. wall to wall. Does anyone have any recommendations? Any thoughts on heating and cooling? We live in the SF Bay Area so the temperature is somewhat temperate. And lastly, any recommendations on the perfect doggie door? Thanks for the advice in advance!

Here's an idea..

I worked as a commercial interior designer and we used this product in airports. It's durable, easy to clean, comes in fun colors and is slip resistant.

Might be an option.

personally duro ceramic stands up really well...

I would not call it soft..but it stands up really well with the dogs.
the only one in the house that does the best is the duro ceramic
I throw down some soft dog pillows that I can wash on it
alot of time I see the bulldogs just stretch out on the bare floor..
they seem to like it a bit cooler..

just my thoughts
