Oh gosh...I'm sorry you and Spencer are having such a hard time. Thank goodness he no longer has the blood. I do know what you mean about wanting it to end. I had a bad problem with Sheldon's poops back in October. We tried so many different medications and nothing worked. Then I got a second opinion with a new vet, who gave us differnet meds. Sheldon was better in no time. Needless to say, the second opinion vet is now my regular vet. Perhaps, you should get a second opinion. Sure hope Spence gets well soon!

My reason for worry was that he started urinating more frequent than normal and upon urination there was good evidence of blood. I went to the vet yesterday and she investigated his penial area. At first glance she noticed prolapse, but then on second viewing there was no prolapse. She then performed an urinalysis which came back normal.
In the end the vet, @ Indian Trace animal hospital, concluded that most likely it is an UTI and that he is straining his urogenital area in the urination process . She started Spencer on Bactrim (aka Septra or Co-trimoxazole)for possible internal UTI and also Valium to calm his bladder sphincter.
I spoke with Sandy originally and she thought it was either an infection or a prolapsed urethra.
Today, he still is urinating frequently but I am finding no blood. I just want this to end if you know what I mean.

Sorry I didn't have a chance to call. I've been reading about your saga with Spencer's problem. I'm sorry I don't have any advice to offer, but have you asked Sandy about it? Also, just curious, whose your vet?

which is different from the kb size. In my photo editing program, there is a menu item under either the File or Edit menu that is called "Image Size." This refers to the actual physical size of the photo. Most people viewing photos are looking at a screen that is about 8 to 10 inches wide, so you don't want your photo to be wider than that. It looks like you are using a photo size that is way too small. Do you want me to try and resize the photo you emailed me and post it here for you?

I've done 115, but usually reduce the photos to around 65 or 70 kb. Also, if your Temp File is full, just open new accounts, such as Darren01, Darren02, etc. You can use the same password for each account, to make it all easier to remember.

I just dont get out that much. ;-}
Yes, Spencer does the high 5 thing. I love that trick with him. Just with bull dogs they are top heavy and tend to fall over after doing the slap me 5 routine.
Gives me an idea, I want to do an open forum of other bully owner tricks so I can have new things to teach Spence. Best to teach when still a puupy.

Darren,
Is Spencer doing a High 5 in that pic? How cute! Sheldon know High 5, too. Oh, as for the commonality of your name, my first love's shared your name, but with an "in."

Yes, that is me. Youre right, Darren isn't really much of a common name and according to aol's poll of names for newborns, it is falling out of favor. It may even become extinct. I guess me and your husband will be worth a lot of money.. :-}
That's interesting because my Darren is from Connecticut...nm
