We have a 16 month old bully Teela and I was just curious about exercise. She HAS to have 2 good runs/walks per day or she drives us CRAZY!! If she doesn't get enough exercise she won't leave us alone in the house, constantly wanting to play. We live on a golf course so we take her for runs, hikes in the mountains by us, swimming in the summer ect. etc. She gets no less than 2 hours per day. How about your bully? On days when my husband (who luckily works from home)and I are too busy we have to take her to a local doggy daycare to play or she would eat our walls, furniture etc. to take out her frustration on not getting her regular exercise!!
I've also had many people (including a judge from a show one time) comment that she is in great shape, well I guess so! Previous to purchasing a bulldog I was worried that the breed may not be suited for our active family....boy was I wrong!!
Curious to hear everyone's response. Maybe age is a factor? The dogs temperment? How did "bulldogs" get the label "lazy"????
Who said bulldogs can't run!

Mines not lazy
either. Up until he was about 2 years old he needed that much exercise too. Now one walk a day does him fine, he'll be 4 in April. A tired dog is a good dog, that's my motto!! LOL

Sounds like Kirby
He's almost 18 months old now and loves to play. He's starting to slow down a bit because of the cold winter, but once things warm up again he'll be back on daily walks. I also take him to day care once a week and he loves it. He can be annoying during the winter months because he wants to play in the house ALL the time. I honestly have no idea why Bulldogs are considered lazy. Kirby is not and I know so many other bullies who are the same.
