Earthquakes & Blizzards ?? My kids woke me up
Submitted by jcramirez24 on April 21, 2010 - 12:36amBEFORE the quake. I thought that a snow plow had dropped it's blade real hard but then I noticed no other noise! Weird but they say dogs can sense them before they happen.... At least I was awake for it 
Did anyone else's dogs wake them up? Steve with Summit aren't you close to the Center??

There are earthquakes in Wisconsin??
I didn't know that. I guess it makes sense tho since a mega quake once hit St. Louis, causing church bells to ring in Boston.

and I didn't feel a thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dogs didn't wake up or anything! I guess maybe we are all really hard sleepers or something
If I didn't know better I'd say there was more than one!
I wonder if it was early tremors that woke my kids up... They acted squirrley and needed to go out but wouldn't go without me.
I looked at the clock and it swear it said 5:11am

I agree, that area is not known for earthquakes. we have them here and no matter how big or small you never get used to them. Boy you guys are getting it all, hope all the elements settle down. J & T
What time did you feel it??? I swear it was 3:30am but
they say it didn't happen till about 4am.
We are 100 miles West of Chicago..... We get
Tornado's and Blizzards! NOT Earthquakes. I guess it was felt in Iowa, Indiana, Wisconsin and obviously Illinois. I believe it was centered in Kane County. I have friends who live there and they said it cleaned the snow off the metal roof on their shop.... Cool!
My windows were rattling, the boys did nothing. I am in Janesvil
