Dottie at the Colorado Springs Specialty Show (pix)

Congradulations to Shelly, Don, & Cindy on your successful weekend!. No luck here but had a blast and was able to meet some great bulldoggers and their dogs.
I have more pictures from the show if anyone is interested.

Dottie looks great.....but the handler is awesome....

Sure you can't make Las Vegas? We need some more men to hug. Can't let just webbie, John, Don, and ?? get all the hugs.....

Re: Always another judge...

I really like it when a judge uses a ramp to judge the bulldogs!, it's easier on the judge and handler. I think bulldogs look better on the ramp and as a spectator you can see the dogs MUCH better.
Royce is doing great!,I took him with me to expose him to the atmosphere and he LOVED.He really wanted out of his kennel to participate!, he is going to be a pleasure to show.He will be 6 months in 2 weeks but the next show we will attend is in September and I can't wait!.

Always another judge...

One of the shows I went to three different bully's took best of breed each day in one weekend. You just never know who is going to win. Sometimes I am not sure if the judges even know our breed. I think Dottie has one of the sweetest mugs I've seen. She looks in great shape. Love her feet too.
I noticed you showing on a platform. Do you use these often? How do you like it? I was just in an outdoor show and the grass was wet. I looked like I had kneepads on with two big wet spots on the knees of my pants. I looked like a fool!LOL A platform sure would be handy.
How is Royce doing? I can't wait to see what he is going to do in the ring. He sure is a handsome boy. Of course I am partial to the black markings.LOL
Take care and I look forward to hearing about your future shows.

Dottie is just lovely.....

Sorry no points but another day, another dollar, another show.

Dottie looks great to me

I would have given her a price also. But I am sure she will get her points soon.

Looking real good Brian!!! of course we would like to see more pictures

Thanks Brian, appreciate the good words....

Sorry you did not do as well as you would have liked and believe me I know the feeling - experienced it Saturday. Dottie is looking good and as my wife always says "Next time will be another show and another judge." Good Luck with your next show - hope to see you in LV in Oct...

"The more I know people, the more I love my bulldogs."

I'd give her a prize!

For being so cute!! nice pics, ann

Cindy, check your rules first...

I don't know how the CKC is, but with AKC, if you are going to use a ramp, or "might" use a ramp, it must be posted in the premium that "The judge will use a ramp", or something like "At the descrection of the judge a ramp will be used".

So check with the CKC that governs your show rules on if you have to list something, etc.

maybe I will bring this up at our club...

That would probably be the best place to start to introduce the ramp at a specialty show. You had a good point regarding the spectators. I never thought of that before. Makes it difficult for my hubby to take pics when they are all on the ground.
Glad Royce was excited and not nervous. That is a good sign he is going to be a blast at the show. Enjoy!

Thanks Patti for the heads up!!n/m
