Dolly is having an eye problem...

I think she must have an eyelash poking her. We're going to the Vet at 4:15 this afternoon even though I called at 8:30am hoping to get her in this morning. Every once in a while we have to deal with this. She had entropion surgery twice when she was younger. Anyway I know it hurts her because she just keeps squinting & sometimes paws at her eye. She's just sleeping a lot---although that's not much to go by. LOL

I don't have any wisdom to share...just want to let you know I'm thinking of you. And you are not alone with eye problems. Tuffy is currently at the vet being treated with antibiotics for cherry eye.... Keep us posted on Dolly!

This started suddenly yesterday so I've been using an eye ointment that we had from when she had this before. I think it does help a little.

Dolly just suddenly started with this yesterday. I was sure hoping the vet would see her this AM. Oh well...

Hope all is well with your family & with your Dad.
We're hanging in there. My husband has an appt with a neurosurgeon tomorrow for a nerve conduction test & then we see the surgeon right after that.

I think she's staying quiet because her eye is bothering her...so it is a good thing just to sleep.

Bulldogs have such weird problems. Our vet suggested lasering Dolly's eyelids to get rid of the stray lashes---but so far we only have a problem once in a while & the vet can pluck the lash out. Hoping it's just something simple like that today.

At first my vet was sure he was scratching his eye himself. His eye was so irritated, and he actually had an abrasion on it. It clearly bothered him a lot. But I never saw him scratch at it. I finally took him to the vet school where they could look at his eye with their fancy equipment, and he had an eyelash on the underside of his eyelid that was scratching his eye. They had to do surgery and they took out the follicle so the hair would not grow back. He has been fine ever since.

We had an ulcer caused by the entropion & didn't like that either. Hope it's just an eyelash but you never know...

poor baby, I hate bulldog eye issues - have gone through 2 ulcers with Dixie, what an ordeal that was!! and I loved the baby Dolly pic! way too cute!!
