Dog Bones?
Submitted by Anonymous on April 20, 2010 - 5:26pmI am going to go to Petsmart today, and I need some help. Can anyone recommend a good chew bone. I am totally paranoid because everyone says something different about what to get. I know rawhide isn't good, but I'm not sure about anything else, so I just haven't gotten anything. The breeder sent her with a little one when I got her, but I have no clue what kind it was, and it scared me when it got little that she would choke, so I took it away. She is 14 weeks, any suggestions. Thanks, you guys so know the bullies.

sterilized bones
Sterilized bones (large ones - 4 -6 inches long) are very good and they last forever, even with agressive chewers.
Bullies love new toys, as well, so plan on buying them often.
Nyelbones are good, they last.
They come in different flavors and styles.

Petsmart has this thing called a molecule ball that you put little treats in and they can spend hours rolling it around and then they can chew on it. A Kong with squeeze cheese or peanut butter inside is good. The unedible nylabones are good, altho I have to sometimes put peanut butter on to make it more interesting. Oscar can splinter the sterilized bones, so we don't get them. Occasionally I'll buy him a really large rawhide and let him chew it for an hour or so and throw it away. Big waste, but that way he can chew and doesn't really get anything off of it.
